ITS ALL OVER FOR THE MONETARY TITHE
If Amos 2 and 8 is the amplified version of Abraham's 'I will not take', it is all over for monetary tithes.
If monetary tithes minus voluntary contributions equals thirty pieces of silver, it is all over for monetary tithes.
If the gain of oppressions 'maashaqqah' points to tithe 'maasar' it is all over for monetary tithes.
If Jesus's parable that states 'fallen amongst thieves and was wounded' parallels Isaiah 33:15, it is all over for monetary tithes.
If God is sincere about us not adding or taking away from His words, it is all over for monetary tithes.
If God was thinking 'tithe' when He said 'vow', offering encouragement to Laban's daughters to leave the one taking their silver, it is all over for monetary tithes.
If strong drink comes from the vine of Sodom, it is all over for monetary tithes.
If Jesus's offering is only of His body and blood as a priest, it is all over for monetary tithes.
If the 'tares' and the 'spots' are the 'wicked' of Malachi 3, it is all over for monetary tithes.
If Antipass was killed by a ravening wolf then monetary tithes is a likely motivator.
How many Christians know that the pattern of tithing was established in the wilderness when there was a tithe of the manna put into a pot? How many know that there was 'flesh' given to eat in the land to parallel the 'flesh' of the quail in the wilderness?
How many Christians know that Abraham's oath to not 'take to a shoe' was commented on by the prophet Amos saying that there are those who 'take to a shoe' of the poor and righteous?
How many know that there is a law saying that the tithe can be exchanged for money? Would you dare exchange the manna in the pot for money? Did you know the 'thirty pieces of silver' prophecy asks, "If you think good, give, if not forbear (don't give)." How many Christians think it 'good' to 'give' money into the storehouse.
How many Christians know that there is a 'gain to be despised' and that the monetary tithe is the only likely candidate.
When you hear the plea, pay your tithe, think, "I have fallen amongst thieves", for you have. The good Samaritan uses the oil and wine to heal the poor man. It is in Malachi 4 that the "sun arises with healing in his wings".
If it is impossible for God to lie and every word of God is pure, how do you get away with making the tithe of the corn, oil, and wine money?
God said 'vow' which is "of all that you give me (the land) i will give a tenth". The wives of Jacob then have an epiphany, our father just wants our money. There you go!!
What is the vine of Sodom doing in the storehouse? The first tithe was the goods of Sodom. Can't get away from that.
Jesus offered his body and blood as a priest after the order of Melchisedek. Melchisidek received a tithe. Jesus does not receive tithes just as Melchisedek did not offer his blood. To make your money equal to the offering of Christ is to do as Judas did, exchange Christ for thirty pieces of silver.
The wheat is gathered into the barn just as the true tithe. The tares are burned, just as the wicked are in Malachi 4. The money is bound in Deut. 14:25 just as the tares before they are burned.
The promise to give bread in Isaiah 33 is much like the Manna that Jesus promises to those who overcome. The despising of the gain is what likely got Antipass killed for there were those who did hear of blood against him.
Like any good southerner knows, you can make bread with corn and oil. Jesus is made unto us the bread of eternal life. Don't replace it with money. It is the gain to be despised. There is nothing offered alongside the offering of Christ's body and blood. Let us celebrate Him when we eat of the bread and the wine, remembering Him and what He offered on our behalf.

Ambrose, on Judas and the Bread
| Leviticus 27:30 | | And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD's: it is holy unto the LORD. |
For some time I have been sounding the alarm on my observation that the tithe of the land has followed a pattern established in the wilderness. In Joshua we see a passing of the baton (bread) from the manna to the fruit of the land.
And the manna ceased on the morrow after they had eaten of the old corn of the land; neither had the children of Israel manna any more; but they did eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year. Joshua 5:12
Both had tithes taken from them and put in storage (Exodus 16:33, 36/Malachi 3:10), both had supplements of flesh to go with the main course (Exodus 16:12/Deuteronomy 12:20, 22), both tempted/proved God for water after the other provisions for bread and flesh were made (Exodus 17:2/Malachi 3:10). All this happened in Old Testament times to a people who were under another covenant. As Augustine said, there are elements of the Old that transfer to the New. They ate the bread that fell from heaven, we do too; they ate their bread that came from the land, we do too. Both point to Christ's body that is given to us, giving us eternal life.
“We have an example of this, for when Judas had received the bread from Christ, the devil entered into his heart, as though claiming his own property, as though retaining his right to his own portion, as though saying: He is not Thine but mine; clearly he is my servant, Thy betrayer, plainly he is mine. He sits at table with Thee, and serves me; with Thee he feasts, but is fed by me; from Thee he receives bread, from me money; with Thee he drinks, and has sold Thy Blood to me. And he proved how truly he spoke. Then Christ departed from him, Judas also himself left Jesus and followed the devil.”
— Ambrose, third century writer (385 A.D.)
To put money into the storehouse would be the same as putting money into the manna pot. If God says, put manna in there, you put manna. If he says put the fruit of the land into the storehouse, you do that. Replacing or exchanging either the manna or the fruit of the land with money would be the same as exchanging Christ for money. This is why we quoted Ambrose on Judas. Collecting monetary tithes is doing a Judas: part two.
This is very strong! Let us look at two things. The law of the tithe on exchanging the tithe for money. And the thirty pieces of silver prophecy in Zechariah 11.
Then shalt thou turn it into money... Deuteronomy 14:25
The 'it' here is the tithe of the land. One thing you can say about this, in God's mind, tithes and money are two separate things. The reason for exchanging the tithe for money is for distance. If it is 'too far' you can exchange the tithe for money. We could probably make something of this, saying that Judas betrayed Christ because the benefits of serving Him were 'too far' for him to make it. This would be too great a burden for the 'too far' to carry. Not proof enough to make the case that this is prophetic for the exchange of Christ for thirty pieces of silver. But, read on. Take the money and buy oxen, sheep, wine, and strong drink or for whatever you desire. (v. 26) The prophets and Jesus are on this 'strong drink' in a major way. We will go into this in other posts.
And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price: and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver. Zechariah 11:12
The word translated 'price' is also translated 'wage'. To weigh something requires a balance. On one side is the thirty pieces of silver. On the other we know was later to be Christ. But what if you put manna on the scales? What about putting the fruit of the land on the scales. Does this exercise on weighing Old Testament commodities make you nervous? It has frightened me. I am afraid of God. After we study the 'strong drink' and the 'weighing' of things, you, like me, will be terrified.

Freedom From the Burden of Titihing
The questions posed here are given in the manner of promotional literature that I get in the mail on nutrition. You know, "Cure This and That By Eating Avacados With This Herb". I have no book to sell....Yet....but will answer the questions posed later on this blog. Your answers and questions on the subject are welcomed.....
There is a Hebrew word that is translated in the NIV version of the bible as 'extortion'! Find out what this word is and how the Hebrew points to the monetary tithe as the culprit.
The tithe that Abraham gave to Melchisedek is often used as justification for taking tithe payments from Christians. There is a word that Abraham uses in that section of scriptures that one of the minor prophets uses to condemn monetary tithes taken from the poor.
The early church historian Eusebius records the error of an 'upstart teacher'. Find out why this statement in his book from the time of the Roman emperor Constantine in the 300's A.D proves the non-existance of tithing in the first three centuries.
The tithe of the land has a twin. Find out why this makes the use of money as a tithe somewhere between absurd and dangerous.
The practice of monetary tithe collecting was forseen by God. It is a hidden prophecy that shows the end of the practice and of its repercussions with the leadership in the churches that teach it.
The Old Testament prophecy that points to the betrayal of the Christ for thirty pieces of silver is primarily a prophecy against the monetary tithe. Find out why this is/could be the case.
Why! Why! Why! How could this be happening. The answer is in Genesis. It is God's 'modus operandi' for allowing the evil of monetary tithe collecting.
Sodom had tithes taken of their goods. Jerusalem had tithes taken of their goods. Jerusalem is called spiritual Sodom by John in Revelation. Discover the verse that points to the monetary tithe as the culprit for making Chritians unknowingly 'spiritual Sodomites'.
Find out what law of tithing points to tithe collectors as 'tares' amongst the wheat.
What three verses point to a coming persecution of Christians who fail to pay their tithes.
